Empire Office and Steelcase partnered with the client on a six-month research study to evaluate the way their employees lived and worked in the space. Burning the midnight oil to create more flexible solutions

A global insurance company needed to transform two major office locations simultaneously, but didn’t have space available to temporarily move employees during construction.

We served as both dealer and project manager, creating an aggressive and intricate weekends-only schedule that synchronized the removal of old furniture, painting and new carpet installation with special midnight furniture deliveries.

Working within a strict 48-hour timeframe per week for nine months, we delivered 350,000 square feet of new office space with minimal interruptions for employees Monday through Friday.

Crossing the pond with first-class service

After working with Empire Office on furniture standards for their U.S. offices, a global digital media agency asked us to bring the solution to its new London location.

Taking advantage of our strong global network, we engaged a longtime partner in the U.K. for their local expertise in handling country-specific issues. Under our team’s supervision, product was ordered in the U.S., shipped overseas and installed by our crews on-site. Where possible, we recommended certain pieces be purchased in the U.K., avoiding costly freight and import taxes.

A prominent New York City university is a leader in 21st Century education, but its library was stuck in the 20th.

One of the most prestigious foreign luxury automakers developed new architectural branding standards to ensure consistency at all 250 of its U.S. dealerships. Empire Office partnered with them to align their vision with the development and implementation of new national furniture standards.

How do you redesign 1,700 bank branches in just nine months? When a large financial institution acquired a major competitor, it asked Empire Office to help transform and unify its retail presence.

We planned and managed the entire project, coordinating with multiple manufacturers and dozens of local crews to execute the order placement, delivery and installation of thousands of pieces of new furniture. Under Empire’s close supervision, all 1,700 branches reopened on schedule, giving our client a seamless fresh start.
